  • Orlo's Restaurant 

Orlo's Restaurant offers the best of California's New American cuisine, served to perfection under the expert hand of Executive Chef Steven Parker.  His artful blending of spices from the Asian Pacific, Latin American and Mediterranean regions enliven signature appetizers, side dishes and entrées.  Delicate cuttings from the mansion's own herb garden add to and enhance the innovative presentation of flavors that provide guests with a unique and memorable dining experience.  An outstanding wine list with more than 200 selections, featuring wines from California, Oregon and France, complements the offerings.

Fine food and wine deserve a fine setting and Orlo's Restaurant provides one reminiscent of the elegance and grace of a bygone era.  The marble hallway with its stunning stained glass ceiling invites guests into the splendor of an extraordinary space, accented by the beautifully restored, burnished wood of the original Hayes family dining room.  Here, sipping a fine wine or savoring a special dish, one may even imagine hearing whispers of polite conversation that took place at the turn-of-the-century.  [E-Menus under construction]

  • Silver Creek Dining Room

Silver Creek Dining Room, a 170-seat elegant conference dining restuarant, overlooks the grounds of the historical Hayes Mansion.  Open daily for breakfast and lunch the restaurant offers both buffet dining and an a la carte menu that highlights healthful choices.  In addition, a 10-day rotational cycle menu is also available for groups requesting breakfast, lunch or dinner. Delectable made-to-order omelets with applewood smoked sausage or bacon, freshly pressed Panini sandwiches and other specialty food items, all reflect the wide range of ethnic influences of this community.  Whatever their tastes, guests are sure to find their favorites among the variety of inviting selections.

An award-winning Champagne Brunch, served every Sunday from 10:00am until 2:00pm, serves as the central attraction and shining star of the restaurant.  With a live jazz pianist playing in the background, guests enjoy traditional breakfast items, gourmet entrées, a fresh seafood bar, carving station, salads galore, fresh fruits, berries and whppped cream, international and domestic cheese displays, actions stations offering special handmand items and extraordinary desserts.  This luscious assortment of dishes and flavors provides a pleasurable dining experience like no other.  [E-Menus under construction]

  • President’s Lounge & Outdoor Patio

The President's Lounge, an intimate bar with polished wood, fireplace and leather décor, provides a comfortable setting typical of a turn-of-the-century parlor found in the grand homes of the era.  Though the menu offers a suitable range of appetizers and traditional soups, salads and sandwiches, guests can also order entrées and specialty desserts.  Open sevens days a week, the President's Lounge offers opportunities for casual dining in a plush inside setting at the bar or al fresco on the patio.  To complement a relaxed dining experience, guests can also enjoy cocktails, imported and domestic beers on tap or by the bottle as well as slections from an outstanding wine list.  [E-Menu under constrcution]

  • Executive Chef Steven C. Parker

Executive Chef Steven C. Parker joined the Dolce Hayes Mansion staff in March 2004.  From the moment he set foot on the property, his energy, influence and personality began guiding the culinary team to a higher level of quality.  More than four years later, his positive changes appear in the strategic planning he emphasizes, the pace and standards his team sets, the high-quality cuisine he presents, and most notably the creative menus he designs.  His influence is apparent in all the F&B outlets and the mansion's countless special events and holidays.  For all of his notable achievements, Chef Parker received a well-deserved honor and award in 2008 when named Dolce International's Executive Chef of the Year.

Chef Parker's career mission centers on continually refining his superb culinary skills and maintaining his fearless spirit of experimentation with local, fresh ingredients and global flavors.  He grew up making pizza for the Parker family's pizza parlor in Napa starting early at the age of four.  He spent his his high school freshman summer in 1980 at the South Lake Tahoe Sahara Casino and his senior summer 1983 as the assistant to the Executive Chef at the Caesar's Resort & Casino.  This early training led him to positions in various upscale restaurants, private residences and catering companies throughout Northern California.  Upon completion of a three-year extensive Culinary Apprenticeship program in contemporary and classical cuisines, he performed at the Westin St. Francis Hotel on Union Square in San Francisco.  Before joining the Dolce Hayes Mansion, he also worked as a line chef at the Westin Seattle's fine dining Palm Court restaurant, was part of the pre-opening team for the award-winning Zachary's Restaurant located inside the South Lake Tahoe Embassy Suites, and served as Banquet Chef at the historic Claremont Resort & Spa in Berkeley/Oakland Hills, California, and as Executive Sous Chef at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.  He has received numerous prestigious industry awrds for his outstanding accomplishments.

Chef Parker is admired by his colleagues for his flexibility in considering all options.  Specificaly, he is committed to designing menus to fit the occasion or event and in doing so receives consistent praise for exceeding guest expectations.  Aside from his commitment to customer satisfaction, guests love Chef Parker for the infectious personality and energy he exudes.  Constantly visible to property guests, he easily interacts with them, asks how their business meeting or vacation is going and always stands ready to share a friendly laugh with anyone.

Finally, Chef Parker demonstrates his leadership on many fronts.  He is a Key Manager, joining the Strategic team working on strategic planning initiatives for the mansion, also serves as Co-Chair of the Training & Development MAP Committee.  Through his leadership and encouragement, several mansion efforts were implemented and continue today, National Night Out on Crime, Mansion Cleanup Day and the mansion's recycling program.  Chef Parker has also been part of the mansion's team for the Hotel Olympics, a local effort to raise money for worthy non-profit organizations.
